July has seen us consolidate wins on two new projects, both of particular interest.
Designed for Life: The Welsh NHS framework
We have won our first commission as part of the Interserve supply chain. Dave Curzon is leading the Interserve team on a project to build a short stay and breast care unit at the Prince Phillip Hospital in Llanelli. A major contributor to the success of the Interserve team was Dave’s long experience of dealing with this Trust. We are already on the Trust’s own framework but to extend that success and share the fruits of our experience with the Carmarthenshire NHS Trust was particularly satisfying. The project entails leading the team through the business case process and commencing construction in Autumn 2008.
Waltham Forest PFI
Track has joined the Kier Project Investment team in delivering this project through the concession period. The expertise that Track has built up in the schools sector is considerable – we have helped consortia on both PFI and BSF projects, pre- and post-financial close. Because Kier has been so successful in winning and running schools, their resources have been stretched and so Track’s help was required. We particularly relish the opportunity to join teams on existing or new projects. Track is able to provide consortia and other clients with additional resource as and when required.
